Former Liquichimica Biosynthesis came in the fourth census "Places of the Heart" compiled annually by the FAI (Italian Environment Fund). In its annual ranking that collects feedback from citizens on eco-monsters and places of our country scarred industrial complex Saline Joniche got 979 votes, finishing eighteenth overall and first among the places to save in Calabria. The power plant project SEI has certainly contributed to turn the spotlight on this place which for years has been abandoned to their fate. The ranking of the FAI is an opportunity to reiterate the need to change things. It seems fairly clear that an unused facility does not help anyone, in fact detrimental to the development of the area, whether tourist or industrial purposes. It's time to get rid of this relic of a past full of bad choices and special interests that have hurt our country and think about the future, without foreclosing the opportunities that were offered.
