The city of Mostar is located in the Herzegovina region, has about 125,000 inhabitants and its center Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mostar was hit very hard by the Yugoslav civil war of the 90s and notorious was the destruction of the bridge in the city, which was considered the symbol of coexistence between Muslims and Bosnian Croats.
In 2004 a new bridge was rebuilt, with the hope of a future of peaceful coexistence among the inhabitants of the region.
's Post Office (Croatian) issues its own stamps since 1993, and is one of the three administrations operating in Bosnia.
